twins???

It freaked Anna out so much that she couldn't even talk to Jen with out getting weirded out. Jen is 2 years older than Anna, but aren't the similarities remarkable????? When Jen was my roommate my sophomore year, she reminded me so much of Anna (who I went to High school with). They even have the same bubbly personality, ya know the kind that could host a talkshow or a show on TLC.

Moving on past the long lost twins finally meeting. . . I can not say how much I am enjoying the freedoms of summer. The joy of staying up late without feeling weighed down by the early morning the next day. Anybody plan any big trips for the summer? If I had the funds I would travel the world during my summer breaks, but since I am trying to save up to move out. . . the world will have to wait.

A week into summer vacation. . .

Last Day 2

Well, it is officially a week into summer vacation and I feel like it's been a month! The picture is of my class on the last day of school, right before lunch, awards and parties. One of students is hiding behind a desk. . . gotta love that 5th grade humor:o)

The last couple days of school went by quickly, from there I haven't really slowed down. I have had follow up teacher stuff, and actually have been catching up on my social life. There's nothing like summer break. I am so thankful God brought me to a job where I have one. Now, I know all of you non-teachers think that it would be sooo easy to be a teacher and have summer breaks. . . but after pulling 10-16 hour days all school year long, I think a little rest is needed to be ready for the next batch of cherubs to enter my classroom.

Tomorrow I head down to Ocean City for a couple days vacation with my family (who is already down there). I waited to go down because Jen Ostergard was here visiting, and I wanted to hang out with her while she was here. On a side note, Jen met her long lost twin, Anna Munro, this weekend at our camp. . . both of them freaked out when they saw each other. I'll post pictures later of both of them. . . it's really uncanny how similiar they are.

light at the end of the tunnel

I only have 3 more school days left! I am sooooo excited to have summer break and a little rest and relaxation. Things have been super busy, but good. Just the usual ending of the year whatnot. Since it was my first year teaching Elementary, things seemed to take me a little longer.

Last week I flew down to Florida on Wednesday evening to help Mark and Jen Corbin move up to this area. While in the airport waiting to board after a long delay, I then realized why we were stuck at the gate. Air Force One was at Philly airport so nothing could land or take off while it was there. I'd like to think that George W. waved at me through the window. . . but I doubt it:o) Anyway, Thursday morning we started the long drive back to PA with a train of moving vans and cars. We arrived back in PA early Saturday morning around 1 am. We probably would have arrived earlier, but we hit a 10 mile back up due to an overturned tractor trailer in Morresville, North Carolina. All in all the trip went smoothly, but by the end I was ready to not be in a car for a good long time.
