The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

I wanted to leave this hymn as my post today. There is nothing more precious than the Love of God to me! Amidst the hurt and frustration that comes with life, and choosing to do the hard right thing, God's Love comforts my soul! Last night once again, I was drawn to some of my favorite Psalms, to refocus and comfort my soul. God's love encompasses all seemingly bad and upsetting circumstances. He draws me closest when I feel the weakest!!

- I graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College in May of 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am currently living back in Harleysville, Pennsylvania teaching 5th grade at the dayschool I graduated from. God has blessed me with a family who loves Him and a husband and friends that point me to Him. Of course, I always have time for fun and a social life, in spite of my busy schedule. Derek and I have been married since July 28, 2007 and look forward to serving the Lord on the mission field once he is done his seminary education.

You're right - the grace and love of God seem sweetest when we're broken and hurting. praise God for those broken close times!
I love that song and it is such a reminder of His Great Love! Where would we be without it? I trust you were comforted as you read through the Psalms. He alone can heal our deepest hurts.
